Vaela's standard sizing guide is as below.

As one manufacturer's sizing is rarely exactly the same as another's, Vaela has specified exactly what a Vaela size is to help you determine the right size for you, and to enable you to make a choice between a tighter or looser fit. Vaela's clothing is based on UK sizing.

For measuring the waist first zip up the jeans and spread them flat on the surface, and remove any fullness and wrinkles.

WAIST: Measure across the waist band. Vaela spent a lot of time developing the shape of the waist and the waist measurement might seem small because it's a tailored fit to avoid gaping (hence the waist measurement might seem small compared to typical jeans).

HIP: Measure across the hip area, this is in most cases 1 1/2 inches below the zip.

THIGH: Starting at the crotch seam and ending 1–2 inches below the hip area.

INSEAM: Measure the inseam gap from the crotch, at the spot where the front and back seams meet, exactly where, depends on the length you desire ultimately.
